For participation and helping in solving of problems in the society, as well as for merits for glorification of the motherland, RC Panagyurishte established a „Prize for glorification of Panagyurishte and Bulgaria”. The management of the club summarized the made nominations. The award is a moral one and it is in Rotarian spirit to encourage high-moral norms in all professions and to support the goodwill and peace worldwide. The „Prize for glorification of Panagyurishte and Bulgaria” shall be annual recognition of Rotary club Panagyurishte towards persons from the municipality for high achievements in different areas of life.

On the 29 December 2008 the first ones awarded with the Prize were the following

        1.     Maria Oryashkova – world and European champion in combo.

2.     Velko Nikolov – Balkan champion in 400 m hurdle-race.

3.     Mirela Ferkova – Grand award on the National festival „Rodolubie” in Panagyurishte.

4.     Teodora Zaharieva – Protection the rights of the people with cancer and active civil position.

5.     eng. Rumen Kostov – for the first one in the municipality wine-cellar and won distinctions for wines on national and international competitions during the year.

6.     eng. Ivan Cholakov – „Boisei” award for systems for quality management, award IN-5 of the BIA and 10 years „Optics”.

7.     Dipl.Eng. PhD. Lachezar Tsotsorkov – classified among the 10 best managers of the year in the country in the classification of the „Manager” magazine and „Deloitte” – Bulgaria.

8.     Ivan Angelov and Luka Angelov – Donations made to the church “Presentation of the Blessed Virgin” on occasion of its 190 years anniversary.

9.     PhD. Atanas Shopov – scientific-researching activity and publishing of books for the history of Panagyurishte.

10.  Hristina Zaikova – Awarded with gold medal on the national competition „Golden apples” in the town of Kyustendil.
